Family Room

Family Room... Before & After. Popcorn stripped off the ceiling, walls and ceiling repaired and painted, trim painted bright white, stairs rebuilt with real stair treads (instead of plywood) and painted black and carpeted with a runner.

Here we go! Step 1: Scrape the popcorn off the ceilings and repair the walls where tape has popped. (I missed the shot of the complete scaffolding setup!)
Painting! All trim went from "Oyster White" to a bright white. Walls are Gateway Gray from Sherwin Williams... a complex color that looks gray, taupe, or sage depending on the light. Picked because it was going to go all over the downstairs - family room, living room, hallway, and foyer - and then up the stairs to the upstairs hallway so it needed to blend well. Seems to go with everything but worn out, navy blue carpet. ;) Below the chairrail is Sage Mountain.
