Henrico sophomore Landon Prentiss needed one more at bat to go for the cycle. He didn’t get the opportunity. But his single, double and triple were major factors in the Warriors’ 11-1 Capital District win over Varina (0-5; 3-10).
A number of Warriors contributed at the plate. Henrico (4-1; 10-2) banged out 12 hits in the six inning contest. Freshman Andrew Props was two for three with a double and two RBIs. Seth Cutler-Voltz also earned two RBIs, each the result of sacrifice flies that drove in a runner from third base.
