Hanover – The defense behind Henrico hurler Seth Cutler-Voltz allowed three unearned runs as the “Warriors” were shut out for the first time this season in a 0-3 loss to Hanover. The victory gave Hanover (9-1; 13-5) the regular season Capital District championship.
“Hawks’” pitcher Jacob Mayers was dominating. He struck out 13 and scattered four hits.
Cutler-Voltz did everything he could to keep his Henrico (5-3; 12-4) teammates in the game. He gave up just four hits while striking out five. He also got two of Henrico’s four hits.
